It’s finally the start of November which means my favourite night of the year has come and gone (sad face). I thought a belated Fashion Friday post could only be dedicated to my outfit of the night and costume for the best Halloween party I’ve ever been to. So here is my Little Red Riding Hood outfit with a gothic twist as I went to Disneyland Paris’ Halloween Party.
I paired it with my bat tights that I gushed about at the beginning of the month. What I loved about this style was that it didn’t follow the traditional route of a milkmaid top with a laced front and black skirt. As much as I love a good Halloween tradition, that one gets a bit old.
My plan behind this outfit was to do a fairytale that Disney hadn’t done. The last thing I wanted was to look like everyone else dressed up like princesses and villains from my favourite movies. As much as I love spooky season and horror, I also opted to avoid any gory make up that might not be ‘family friendly’.
The black trim on the hood and dress made it my favourite gothic take on an old school favourite. The cloak was also surprisingly warm for a cold outdoor party! I’ll update you all about my wonderful Disney holiday in the coming days!
What did you guys dress as for Halloween? Let me know what you think in the comments!
